Theater Announces Opening of DFT COPA
Desert Foothills
Theater is pleased to announce the creation of
DFT
Conservatory of Performing Arts (COPA). DFT COPA
will be offering 28 classes in a variety of theatrical
topics for artists ages 3-93 who want
to further develop
FCF Holland Community Center
their theater, dance, voice
or playwriting
skills. A team of professional theater artists and
teachers make up the teaching staff of COPA. "I am
just thrilled with the quality of teachers we have
working for us and the
wide variety of classes," said Lori Vander Maten,
DFT Education Director.
Classes will
continue to be offered at a variety of schools in CCUSD
as after-school programs offered through Desert
Foothills Community Education while an additional series
of classes will be held at the new FCF-Holland Community
Center located on 60th Street south of the Carefree
Highway.
DFT COPA becomes
the training arm of DFT while
DFT Gecko Teatro will primarily focus on youth
theater productions and our annual summer camp.
