ACTING – AUDITIONS / MONOLOGUES:
AGES 7-11 and Ages 12-15
Be
Prepared!
The best
advice for any actor whether, they are a beginner or a
veteran, is to always be ready for an audition… you
never know when the opportunity to be cast in a film or
show, commercial or event will present itself.
This class will give you the opportunity to set
your focus on what you want to achieve and will start
(or continue) to fill your bag of tools for a successful
audition. This
class is appropriate for all levels of acting abilities
and experience; your work will be individualized to your
goals.
You’ll leave the class with two contrasting monologues
and cold reading experience to better prepare you for
your first or next audition.

ACTING – SCENE STUDY:
ADULT
Scene study classes are
where one can really challenge and push themselves to
grow as an actor.
In this class, the “stakes are higher”, and
actors will have the opportunity to really get into the
“meat and potatoes” of acting.
By applying what has been learned in previous
acting classes, the students will select, memorize and
perform one dramatic and one comedic scene of their
choice.
Students will learn how to rehearse, break-down a script
into beats, as well as hear & feel the rhythm and timing
of well written contemporary scripts.
The ten weeks will be broken into two parts.
The first five weeks focuses on analyzing and
performing a dramatic script, and the last five weeks
will be dedicated to comedy.
During the class there will be two performances,
and students will have the choice to perform one of the
two scenes for the workshop showcase.

INTRO
TO THEATER:
GRADES K-3
Let’s start at the very beginning…
how do I tell a story using movement, voice and facial
expression?
What are the words used in theatre, how do I create a
character, work with others, remember my lines? This is
where you start. In this class you will learn to move
easily around a performance space, develop vocal skills,
and learn to act with others.
Even non-readers will learn basic storytelling
skills by being exposed to literary ideas like the
beginning, middle and end in storytelling, and
understanding exposition, narration and dialogue.
As students demonstrate readiness for more
challenging material, we will add it, so this class is
great for beginners or for students who took Beginning
Acting last year.
The class will culminate in a sharing our
work-in-progress with family and friends.
As you will be part of a performing group and
other students are counting on you to be there for
rehearsal, consistent class attendance is a must.

MUSICAL
THEATRE PERFORMANCE ~ The Rocky Monster Show:
Ages 8-17
Participants in
this class will put on The Rocky Monster Show by Malcolm
Sircom.
This very funny and
innovative "monster rock musical" is a riotous
mix of the Addams
Family, Young Frankenstein and
Phantom of the
Opera, with
The Munsters
and The Rocky Horror Picture Show thrown in for good
measure!
Baron Frankenstein's descendant, an ex-pop star who is
now a professor of Genetics, creates DNA molds of people
in his computer. When these molds miraculously come to
life as the ultimate Rock Group, (headed by a clone of
Elvis himself), hilarity abounds. More traditional
monsters also add spice to the explosive mixture. The
Rock 'n' Roll score, much of which is an affectionate
send-up of the 60's, overflows with fabulously fun “hip”
tunes. The Rocky
Monster Show is great fun for the whole family!
Everyone who
signs up for this class will be in the production.
Auditions will be held during the first two classes on
August 26 & 27.
Auditions will be for part
