Desert Foothills Theater & Chico’s Diamonds in the Desert Spring Style Show Sparkles
Desert Foothills Theater and Chico’s present the Diamonds in the Desert style show and luncheon at Desert Mountain Cochise/Geronimo Clubhouse on Wednesday, April 13. This glittering fashion event benefiting Desert Foothills Theater begins at 11:15 am with a reception featuring complimentary champagne or mimosas.
Highlights of the reception’s silent auction include a shimmering strand of pearls donated by Hamra Jewelers of Scottsdale and a gorgeous oil painting by artist Carrie Curran. Ms. Curran is currently exhibiting work at the residence of the United States Ambassador to the United Nations in Geneva, Switzerland. This beautiful landscape was created to commemorate Desert Foothills Theater’s 30th Anniversary.
Guests will also be able to choose their own winning basket from a generous array of lovely gifts in the Diamonds in the Desert Lottery Raffle.
Luncheon is at noon with informal modeling of spring fashion provided by Chico’s, a clothier for the sophisticated woman featuring a full line of exclusively designed private label apparel, accessories, and jewelry, with a focus on comfort. Guests will be entertained by vocal selections from Desert Foothill’s Fame The Musical, produced in association with Pinnacle High School (which will open April 21 at Pinnacle Theater).
More door prizes, more gift baskets, more wonderful food and that fantastic Desert Mountain scenery! “What an enjoyable event to share with your friends,” says Carol McDaniels, DFT Chairman. Foothills Community Foundation President Susan Vanik is hosting two tables, typical of the enthusiastic support DFT has received from FCF this year. We’d like everyone to join us for champagne, fashions and fun.
Tickets to Diamonds in the Desert are $75 each. Seating is available in tables of ten, eight or individually at one of the popular no host tables. Because seating is limited, reservations are now being accepted by mail or at the Desert Foothills Theater office (480) 488-1981. Please call the DFT office for information or reservations. |
