Kevin GlennOriginally from the Jersey Shore, Kevin spent many years in New York City before moving to Arizona in 2002. Kevin studied music, theater, voice & dance in Manhattan and performed with many theater companies throughout the region and had the opportunity to travel the world singing on various cruise ships as a featured entertainer for several years. Since moving to Arizona, Kevin has been musical director for Desert Foothills Theater’s productions of Grease, Footloose, and most recently, Fame ­ The Musical, and The Best Little Whorehouse in Texas, for which he won an AriZoni as Best Music Director. Recent local acting credits include the architect, Thomas Andrews, in Scottsdale Community Players’ production of Titanic, Sky Masterson in DFT’s production of Guys & Dolls, Will Rogers in Broadway Based on True Stories, which was a Herberger Lunchtime Theater Production, and The Monk/Singer in Southwest Shakespeare’s production of Cardenio. He also appeared as a featured performer in Desert Foothills Theater’s production of Sweet & Hot: the Songs of Harold Arlen. Also a songwriter and composer, Kevin wrote the score for Alice, which was an original version of Alice in Wonderland, conceived and directed by C. Nicholas Johnson and presented at the Cactus Shadows Fine Arts Center in 2004; and Once Upon a Planet presented in 2005, also conceived and directed by C. Nicholas Johnson. Both productions were produced by the Desert Foothills Community Education Artist in Residence program, which Kevin and his wife, Martha, are actively involved in. In addition, Kevin’s music was featured in “Quilters ­ the Ballet,” which was presented at The Herberger Theater in March of 2005.
